Son Seals isn't that great of a Blues singer, but man is he an outstanding guitarist! He's right up there with Blues electric guitar greats like Robert Nighthawk and Rory gieleathersdergconfsalasfikacaverra.coinfo song lyrics are fairly typical for the most part, but "Your Love is Like a Cancer" is creative.

Jun 18,  · Originally issued in on Bruce Iglauer's then-new Alligator label, this is the late, great Frank "Son" Seals' debut album, a supremely rough, tough affair with some stinging lead guitar playing, tougher and less polished than Stevie Ray Vaughan and at least as gritty as Johnny Winter and Buddy Guy/5(24).

Seals father ran the Osceola, Arkansas juke joint, the Dipsy Doodle Club, where Son was first exposed to Sonny Boy Williamson and two of his early mentors, Robert Nighthawk and Albert King. By age 13, Seals began drumming for Nighthawk, but by the end of the s, he began fronting his own band in Little Rock and had switched over to guitar.
